Anime Expo 2001

Sean and I went to AX again this year. It was totally wicked cool as usual!! One of the highlights for me was that we got to see the Yu Watase Panel. She is the creator of Fushigi Yuugi and Ayashi no Ceres. IF you haven't seen those anime series, YOU HAVE TO. They are some of my all time faves!! We also saw the Ah! My Goddess Movie in raw Japanese. It was so beautiful!! I also met and got the signature of the Japanese Voice Actress of Utena for Revolutionary Girl Utena. And she was on the Panel for Tenshi ni Narumon (I wanna be an Angel!) You have to see that series, it's soooo kawaii!!! (Please see the pic on the right.) We also bought tons of anime and collectables. That's one of the coolest things about AX. The discount anime, and the rare collectors items. We also got the signatures of the English Voice Actors for Krillin and Vegeta/Piccalo from DBZ. They're pretty funny guys ;) I also dressed up in my Eternal Sailor Moon Costume to Cos-Play on one of the days, and Sean dressed up like Mamo-chan (Darien) from the first season! There are a couple of pix below. BTW: My wings broke...that's why they're missing ^_^;;

Lake Meade Family Vacation 2001 / 1 Year Anniversary

We went to Lake Meade for a week in August!! It was totally sugoi!! I tried to water ski! (It was my first time!) And I got a really good tan from being out in the sun all day! ::hehe:: It was a double special vacation too, cuz we got to celebrate our 1 year anniversary there!! SUGOI!! Anyhow, if you don't know where Lake Meade is, it's the big lake that was created by the creation of Boulder / Hoover Dam. It covers the borders of Arizona and Nevada. It's about an hour of windey roads from Las Vegas! :) There are a couple of pix of me and Sean below ;)

Anime Expo 2002

Let me just say...I LOVE ANIME EXPO. I swear, every year it just gets cooler and cooler. We had THE BEST time this year at Ax02. The Opening Ceremonies were so totally wicked cool. We had a surprize performace by Yoko Ishida. She is the singer for a lot of famous anime songs, like the Theme Song for Sailor Moon R, and the Opening Song from Neon Genesis Evangelion. (Which she sang for us live!) We got it all on tape of course. One of the highlights for me was that the creator of Rurouni Kenshin was there, and so was the Japanese VA for Naga from Slayers. Loved her! I took tons of cosplay photos click on the link below to see them! They are totally wicked cool!!I also learned about and viewed tons of new anime, and I also spent tons and tons of money buying all the anime goodies, new DVDs, and soundtracks! The newest series I got into from AX is Steal Angel Kurumi. (Notice the Picutre on the right.) It's so kawaii!! Anyhow, I can't wait to go again next year!

2 Year Anniversary

ANIME. Yep. We had an anime anniversary this year. It was so much fun. Since we still had oodles of anime we bought at AX that we hadn't seen yet, we took a few days off of work (including our anniversary date) and watched anime all day :) On our actual anniversary, we had a nice dinner with the latest Love Hina DVD. And on the 28th, (2 days after our big day) we were still celebrating as we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific, in Long Beach, CA. It was reminiscent of our honeymoon too, cuz while we were in Maui we visited the large aquarium there. Then we went out to a nice Italian Pasta Restaurant in Long Beach that we like. Then we went home and had ice cream. (Yummy!) So that was our anniversary. :)

Anime Expo 2003

Once again, Anime Expo blew my socks off. We had such a good time this year, it was totally incredible. We stayed at the Hilton hotel, which was right next to the convention center, so it was really nice because we could stay up till odd hours watching anime, or wake up at the crack of dawn to wait in line for really cool shows, like the opening ceremonies. We hit up all the main events except for the Maquerade, which is fine. We especially enjoyed the Yuki Kajura concert, and the Anime Music Videos Contest. My favorite videos were the RahXephon video Euphoria, and the video nominated for best of show; The Chibi Things That Kill. If anyone has their hands on a copy of either of those, I would love them. I was also once again on the FanSite panel, and that was kinda cool to get into the geekiness within myself while I was away from my computer for the convention. The internet really does seem like a whole other world at times. In any case, my friend Nishi met up with us on the first day, and that was really cool. It was surprizingly to me, her first anime convention. She was really excited about some of the unique items she found there. Sean and I were just happy to be with her because she reminded us of what it's like to be at your first AX. Other than that, we bought a lot of anime, anime goodies, and mangas, and watched a lot of new anime in the screening rooms. Some of the things we got into at AX this year were: RahXephon, Mahoromatic, Please Teacher, Scryed, and Haibane Renmei. I also got into the Kodocha manga series. Some other new things we saw there were FLCL, Infinite Ryvious, GateKeepers, Niea_7, and Heat Guy J. We also had the privlege of seeing the Card Captor Sakura 2 movie (raw) and that was really cool. I took tons of cos-player pictures, and I will post them here so you can take a look at them. :)

3 Year Anniversary

How about an all inclusive weekend getaway to Sea World? So, that was our present. We had a little party too, with all the family over at our house. The greatest part about our anniversary was that it fell almost on exactly the day that Mars was closest to the Earth, in all recorded history. So we all got out the big telescope and checked out the planet. That was loads of fun. Our present, that weekend to Sea World was incredible. We had such a good time. Firstly, Sean had never been to Sea World before (and he loves sea animals, notice our fish tank) and I hadn't been there since I was 10 or 12, can't really remember. So we did everything they had to offer there for 2 days staight. Fed the dolphins and the sting rays, checked out the penguins and the polar bears. Went to the shark encounter, took the behind the sceens tour. We saw the Shamu show probably 3 or 4 times, including the night show (which was the best one really) and the sea lion show, the dolphin show, etc. We dined with Shamu for lunch on the 2nd day and also went to the Mystic de la Mer night dinner show, which was very beautiful. I have pix of Sea World too, and they'll be on here soon as well.

That's it for now!! will be more soon! ;D
